   As Guangzhou Hengqiao Marine Engineering Co., Ltd., we are honored to participate in the construction of the dragon boat race pier for the Chengdu World Games. This glory and mission have long been deeply engraved in the hearts of every Hengqiao person. It is not only a tempering of engineering skills, but also a grand event that showcases China's construction strength to the world and helps dragon boat culture sail overseas, with craftsmanship as the pen and waters as the scroll.

   When we took over this task, we deeply understood its weight. The millennia-old dragon boat will enter the official events of the World Games for the first time. The clear waters of Chengdu's Xinglong Lake will bear the attention of the world, and this pier will be the most solid stage for this feast. Faced with the complex underwater geology of Xinglong Lake and the urgent challenge of the construction period, we never hesitated. A core team led by senior engineers quickly assembled, plunged into this water area that is about to witness legends with reverence and enthusiasm for the project.

    In order to make the pier not only meet the strict standards of international events, but also integrate with the charm of this water area, we have always taken "striving for perfection" as our criterion to build a professional and reliable water project. For the proposed kayak pier and dragon boat mooring pier in this project, we strictly follow the given parameters and pour professional craftsmanship into them.

    The kayak pier has a detailed plan, including a 50m² launching and landing pier to facilitate athletes' getting on and off the boats efficiently; 148m² floating platforms for the landing bridge and the same area for the launching bridge to ensure smooth passage; a 600m² floating platform for the handling area, providing sufficient space for kayak handling; and a 24m² floating platform connecting the lakeshore bridge, which cleverly connects the pier with the lakeshore to achieve seamless connection.

    The dragon boat mooring pier has 12 berths. The 534.1m² mooring pier provides a stable "habitat" for dragon boats; the 498m² starting floating platform is a key node for the start of the race, carrying the athletes' expectations and struggles; the 90m² starting command floating platform witnesses the issuance of each race command; 6 number platforms with a total of 24m² clearly mark the positions of each participating team; 3 aiming platforms with a total of 84m² provide guarantee for the accurate progress of the race.

    In terms of technical parameters, we strictly control them. 1000500400mm catamaran buoys are used, with a buoyancy greater than 360kg/㎡, far exceeding the conventional requirements, ensuring that the pier can float stably on the water under various working conditions; the compressive strength is greater than 40kN, which is sufficient to withstand the pressure from ship berthing and personnel activities. Considering the crowd bearing capacity of the pier, the design load is set at 2.5-3.5KN/m², which not only meets the safety needs when there are many people, but also avoids waste of resources.

    The pier structure adopts a combination of steel frames and buoys. Q235 galvanized square pipes are used for the main steel beams and horizontal and vertical beams. Q235 steel has appropriate strength and can provide solid structural support for the pier; the galvanizing treatment greatly enhances the corrosion resistance of the steel, allowing the pier to remain stable in the water environment for a long time and effectively extending its service life.

   We take parameters as the outline, and use professional technology and rigorous attitude to transform these data into solid and reliable pier facilities, providing strong guarantee for the development of water sports. This pier not only stood firm as a rock during the high-intensity events, achieving a perfect record of zero safety accidents, but also became a link for the integration of dragon boat culture, allowing Oriental wisdom to shine on the world stage.
